The Leaning Tower of Pasta

One of the goals for 2011 is to actively post to my blog. I virtually abandoned the blog about 6 months ago when we moved. Life got in the way and I never committed to posting. But that is all about to change! For my first blog post of 2011, I present the Leaning Tower of Pasta.



This picture includes 37 boxes of pasta that I was able to obtain for absolutely FREE! My hubbie was kind enough to stop on his way home from work to pick up the last 10 boxes. Mueller's Pasta was offering a .55/1 printable coupon on their website. Unfortunately, the coupon is no longer available. I paired the coupon with a sale at Harris Teeter and voila FREE pasta! Most printable coupons only allow 2 prints per computer but the coupon on the Mueller's website had, from what I could tell, unlimited prints.

Shopping at Harris Teeter with FREE item coupons

I went to Harris Teeter tonight to take advantage of their meal deal of the week. The meal deal wasn't as great a deal as I thought so I skipped it. But while I was there, I used a couple of the great FREE item coupons that I have received in the past week. Here's what I ended up with....

You've got to love a savings of 85%!!!!! This is a great example of why I join rewards programs. FREE item coupons are the best. :)

Harris Teeter Super Doubles

I ran over to Harris Teeter after work on Friday to take advantage of their super doubles event. I had an hour to kill before my little boy woke up from his nap and we could go out to dinner. I was pretty pleased with the deals I was able to get. If you aren't familiar with super doubles at Harris Teeter. They will periodically have a week where they will double coupons with a value of $1.98 and under. They will double 20 coupons per day per household.

Harris Teeter and my Ebates check!

Today is the last day of the Harris Teeter sale. They have applesauce cups and cheese on sale - my kids two favorite things......so we ran over to pick up a few items. Sorry about the lack of pictures. When we moved, we somehow misplaced the charger for our camera. I hope I can find it soon though because my daughter graduates from preschool next week and I would really like some pictures!

I had tried to use (2) $1/2 Classico Sauce printables but the manager wouldn't let me. She said that the $1.50 off ground beef coupons applied to the Classico Sauce as well. I tried to explain that the coupon clearly stated that it was $1.50 off ground beef when you buy Classico sauce so the coupon applied to the ground beef. She didn't except that and I didn't feel like fighting over $2. Oh well....I still had a great trip!

There was also a sale on Gorton's Seafood and Seapak Shrimp that I wanted to take advantage of to stock up my freezer (which by the way is busting at the seams - don't have much room left!)
